10 Best-Selling Phones of 2012: Samsung Galaxy S3 Is Number One

Which is the most popular and most discussed phone at the moment? Right, it’s the Samsung Galaxy S3! Would you be surprised if I said that at the moment it’s the best-selling phone number 1, too? Yeah, that’s true – the Galaxy S3 that was released only a couple of months ago is now outselling all the other phones, even the iPhone 4S, which is on the market for more than half a year.

Wanna know which are the rest of the best-selling phones of the year? Read on to find out!

10. Apple iPhone 3GS
Apple’s iPhone 3GS is the tenth in the list of the best-selling smartphones of 2012, which is not bad for a phone released in 2009. Armed with a small 3.5-inch display with 320 x 480 pixels resolution and a 600 MHz processor, and running iOS 3 (upgradable to iOS 5.1), the iPhone 3GS was a hit three years ago, and now it’s a usual mid-range device, and the most interesting thing is – people continue buying it!

9. Apple iPhone 4
Similar to the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 is quite an old phone, yet there are still people who wish to buy it. Well, good for Apple!

8. Nokia Lumia 800
Nokia’s Windows Phone-based Lumia 800 isn’t one of the most powerful or coolest phones on the market, armed with a 3.7-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, a 1.4 GHz CPU and not that attractive (IMHO!) WP 7.5 Mango, but still, it is number 8 in the list of the best-selling phones of 2012.

7. HTC One S
The latest mid-range phone from HTC has also entered the list! The thing is – many people love phones like this, since they’re rather cheap, yet they come with quite nice features like a 4.3-inch display with 540 x 960 resolution, a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and Android 4.0 ICS.

6. Samsung Galaxy Note
Well, I guess I shouldn’t try to explain why the Galaxy Note is number 6 on the list. It’s one of the first phone-tablets on the market and it’s quite an unusual device with powerful features, so no wonder it’s attractive for many, many people.

5. Samsung Galaxy Ace
Now this is surprising! The Samsung Galaxy Ace was released in February, 2011, and it’s armed with rather weak features… Yet it sells well even now, one and a half year later; moreover, it’s the fifth in the list of the best-selling phones of the year! What’s the secret of this phone? Perhaps the thing is – it’s cheap, it has very stylish design and, even armed with mid-range features, it works well and without any serious lags. I’m a Galaxy Ace user, so I confirm it’s a very nice mid-range device.

4. HTC One X
The HTC One X is one of the most serious rivals of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Armed with a quad-core processor, it has a good display and runs the latest version of Android.

3. Samsung Galaxy S2
Samsung’s Galaxy S2 was once the best phone on the market, and the most popular one, too. Now it’s replaced by its successor, the Galaxy S3, but it’s still one of the best-selling phones ever.

2. Apple iPhone 4S
As we’ve already mentioned, the famous iPhone 4S is only number 2 on the list. Well, Apple is a stylish brand, but its latest flagship already looks rather old and unable to compete with the Galaxy S3. Let’s see if the things will change with the release of the iPhone 5.

Apple iPhone 4S

1. Samsung Galaxy S3
A 4.8-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, Android 4.0.4 ICS, quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9… no wonder many geeks agree that the Galaxy S3 is now the best phone on the market! And we shouldn’t be surprised that it’s selling so well.
