Changes in Google Privacy Policy March 2012

Google Privacy Policy Changes
Google has put forth some changes to the current Privacy Policy and it would like to convey the message across to all the G-Mail and Google users. You should have already got an e-mail stating the changes, but if you are not a G-Mail user or have not received the Mail confirming the changes to the Google Privacy Policy, then you can learn about it here -

Dear Google user,

We're getting rid of over 60 different privacy policies across Google and replacing them with one that's a lot shorter and easier to read. Our new policy covers multiple products and features, reflecting our desire to create one beautifully simple and intuitive experience across Google.

We believe this stuff matters, so please take a few minutes to read our updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service at These changes will take effect on March 1, 2012.

This was the official message from Google and here we will explain some of the changes to the Privacy Policy.Google seems to have come up with a new motto, "One Policy, One Google Experience"

  • The New Policies put forth a deeper emphasis on integrating all the walks of Google, such as E-Mail, Calender, Google Docs, YouTube, Blogger Etc.
  • The New Policies ensure custom search query auto completion based on the Google Account you are logged in with.
  • The New Policies make it easier for you to share what you like to your Internet Community.
  • The New Policies also include some changes to the Search Integration with Google+
  • The New Policies do not undermine your Privacy, just as before.
